Katherine Mausolf

LSW - Therapist

Katie has been a Licensed Social Worker in the state of Pennsylvania since 2021 and is currently pursuing her Licensed Clinical Social Work (LCSW) certification for Pennsylvania in the near future. With nearly 20 years of experience in the medical field, she is excited to combine that background with her newfound passion for medical social work.

After graduating in 2016 with a Master's in Social Work from Millersville University and Shippensburg University, Katie gained valuable experience through her internships at Philhaven's Access Department and Triage Units, her school social work experience at Penn Manor High School, and her medical social work field experience at Willow Valley Retirement Communities. This diverse background ultimately led her to focus on the health field, specifically medical social work.

Her employment history includes roles in Life Programs, nursing home rehabilitation programs, hospices, and health insurance. Katie takes pride in her social work experience and applies a generalist's perspective to therapy, emphasizing the importance of connecting the community with individual needs. In her sessions, she often seeks out community resources that may enhance her clients' personal lives and help them achieve their goals. She believes that social workers and therapists serve as the backbone for those in need of support. Her love for therapy developed through various avenues, particularly from her work counseling hospice patients and their caregivers, fostering her appreciation for the art of therapy in navigating life's challenges.

Katie looks forward to meeting with clients, listening to their stories, creating goals, holding them gently accountable, and cheering them on throughout their journey.

Residing in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Katie lives with her husband of nearly 18 years, their three beloved daughters, and a variety of dogs and cats that keep her on her toes. She credits her father for instilling in her a love of psychology and the study of human behavior, as she spent much of her childhood and young adulthood in his office within a local university's Psychology Department. Additionally, she attributes her resourcefulness in finding referrals to her mother, a retired librarian, who nurtured her passion for research in the social work field.
